Double Dagger & Three Section Staff with Shifu Gregg Zilb ~ 8/22/26

Saturday August 22nd 2026, Shifu Gregg Zilb of Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu traveled from New York to Massachusetts to run a workshop on Shaolin double daggers and three-section staff.

We reviewed dagger applications and self-defense, and then learned the Shaolin Double Dragon Daggers 少林双龙匕首 (Shàolín Shuāng Lóng Bǐ Shǒu). Then, we continued last year’s study of Shaolin three section staff 少林三节棍 (Shàolín Sān Jié Gùn).

Both forms are complex in their applications and acrobatic in their movements. Our students from Maynard and Oxford (as well as our guest from Biddeford Maine) did an excellent job processing the challenging material.

Afterwards, we celebrated Shifu Gary’s 50th birthday! It was a great day that we were privileged to spend with our extended Kung Fu family and friends.
