MASGD Kick-a-Thon

We are martial artists; we are people of action. We take action to strengthen ourselves physically and mentally through the discipline of our training. We take action to strengthen our community through our martial virtues.

The tragic shooting in Orlando on June 12th 2016 resulted in subsequent shockwaves of anger, fear, and hate towards both LGBTQ and Muslim communities. In response to this, students of Metrowest Kung Fu will be holding a kick-a-thon. On July 30th, participating students from Metrowest Kung Fu will perform five hundred kicks. Students will have one month to acquire pledges from donors. Donors may pledge any amount of money per kick.

All proceeds will be donated to the Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity. MASGD works to support, empower, and connect LGBTQ Muslims. MASGD aims to increase the acceptance of gender and sexual diversity within Muslim communities, and to promote an understanding of Islam that is centered on inclusion, justice, and equality.

Students can pick up pledge sheets at the school, and may also register to accept pledges online. Donors may pledge using cash, checks, or cards. Checks should be made out to "Metrowest Kung Fu." Donors who would like to pledge electronically can do so via our RallyUp page.
