June 2016 Newsletter
Other details:
Please give a warm welcome to our new yoga teacher, Sara Kripowicz. Sara comes to us with many years of yoga experience and is excited to share her knowledge with others. Sara will be teaching yoga Wednesday evenings, and will eventually add more classes when Katina goes to school in September.
Double sticks module starts in June and will take place Thursdays and Saturdays after Kung Fu. Modules are open to any Kung Fu students over ten years old and cost an additional $25 per month.
Sparring will take place after Kung Fu on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sparring is free, and is open to Kung Fu and Tae Kwon Do students over ten years old.
Today is the last day to preregister for the Wu Dao Tournament this Sunday. It is okay to register the same day at the tournament, it costs $5 extra. Kids should arrive by 9AM to sign in, adults should arrive by 12PM. This is a small, inexpensive, and friendly tournament that is very accessible to new students and first-time competitors. The Wu Dao school has a new address, they are now located at 130 Smith Place, Cambridge, MA 02138.
The Tai Chi Brunch is an opportunity to share Tai Chi with other people both in the Maynard and martial arts communities. It is open to the public and free, but we'll have a spot set up for donations.
The Kung Fu library is free and open to all Metrowest Kung Fu students. Books can be checked out with Sihing and are due back 3 weeks later. Please treat the books with care; some are rare or out of print, many are gifts from teachers or students over a lifetime of training. Students are more than welcome to donate their own used books to the library as well.
If you have not already, please take the time to write us a positive review online...the best gift a student can give us is a new student, and having a strong social media presence is critical to the school's success. Leave us a review on our Yelp page or our Google page, and/or like us on our Facebook page.
As always, please free to contact Sihing should you have any questions or concerns.
